Mode of Action

Metarhizium anisopliae infects all stages of insects by attaching to their skin, germinating, and penetrating their bodies. This leads to the death of the insect through internal feeding, leakage of internal contents, and the release of toxins such as dextrusion. The insect body is eventually covered with green mycelium and spores, which can spread and cause further infections.

Mode of Application

Soil Application:

• Dosage: Mix 2 kg of Kalichakra with 200 kg of well-decomposed FYM/compost/field soil.
• Method: Broadcast the mixture over 1 acre of land during field preparation or in standing crops.

Foliar Spray:

• Dosage: 2 kg per acre (1L per acre) in 150-200 liters of water.
• Method: Apply uniformly over the crop using a hand sprayer or power sprayer with an appropriate hollow cone nozzle for fine mist generation.

Important Recommendations

• Apply at the first appearance of pests.
• Repeat application after 7 days as necessary.
